My core comosition is exactly 2 minutes long, if played at the right tempo. However, when it was recorded it was played at a slightly slower tempo... so the recording is about 2:20... am i screwed? or is this ok?

I'd speed it up. Don't push the limitations imposed by the Board - you could be penalised if you have a shitty marker.
