Doing 3 sciences is hard, if you have a passion for science and is willing to put a lot of time into it, by means go for it.
My teachers recommended not doing all three sciences, because it does become really hard later on, but if you are interested ask Kami, he used to do 3 sciences.

Chemistry and Biology overlap a bit, but I'm not so sure about physics and chemistry.

Yeah. I'm doing Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I'm doing Chemistry because many Med schools require it, Biology because I love it and it was my best subject last year (though Prelim Biology looks like it's going to suck) and Physics- well, for my UAI (yes, I know- don't pick subjects just for that reason, but I'm actually good at it, I just find it boring). I think the main reason for my disinterest in the subject was a terrible Physics teacher last year, it looks like it may be pretty good now and the teacher is great.

I didn't think Bio or any science knowledge was necessary for the UMAT, though it is for the GAMSAT (not that that applies to us at the moment!).

"UMAT is designed to assess general attributes and skills
gained through prior experience and learning;
specifically, the acquisition of skills in critical thinking
and problem solving, understanding people and abstract
non-verbal reasoning. These abilities are considered
important to the study and later practice of professions in
the health sciences.
UMAT is an aptitude test. It is not curriculum based and
presupposes no particular subjects of study at secondary
level. It does not require any knowledge or skills in
mathematics or sciences, or in any other area of the
curriculum. It is designed to complement your academic
results, not to replicate them. It is not a personality or
IQ test." - acer

B. Med is at Newcastle, right? I want to study MBBS, I know they say B. Med is the same but I'll go for the tradtional one, preferably at UNSW, U. Melb or Monash.

A few of my friends do all three sciences and what they find is that come assesment periods, all the science assesments are pretty much clumped together. But our school gets set assesment periods, so it isn't much of a bother.

Damn wtf, you guys are in year 11 and are already looking over UMAT material. I haven't even bothered yet lol. In fact, I didn't even know about it until last term

im in yr 12 and i do physics, chem and bio!
overall, its been alot of fun, and a huge learning experience.
It does require alot of hard work, but just put the hard work in and ask for help when you need it... you'll really enjoy yourself :) especially
chem... it just gets better and better...
physics is sometimes hard to grasp, and has lots of formulae
bio isnt rocket science, but needs lots of study...
HAVE FUN KAYLEE!!! <3 xox
you'll be gr8!
