Can someone please answer the following multiple choice and short answer questions because I'm having some trouble with it. Thanks

1)If the wavelength of a vibration is 0.1m in air,its frequency will be what?(The velocity of sound in air is 3.4*10^2ms^-1.
a)2.3m
b)2.3*10^3m
c)5.5m
5.5*10^2m

2) A gamma ray has a frequency of 7.5*10^15 Hz. Its period and wavelength are respectively:
a)1.33*10^-16s and 40m
b)1.33s and 40m
c)1.33*10^-16s and 40nm
d)1.33s and 40nm

3)A longitudinal wave is produced in a slinky spring. The distance between the centre of a rarefraction and the adjacent compression is 1m. If the speed of the wave is 5m/s, then the period is closest to:

a)0.04
b)0.4
c)2.5
d)2.0

4) The effect of density of the medium on the transmission speed of sound waves, is that in the more dense medium, sound waves travel
a)more slowly
b)at the same speed
c)faster
faster or slower depending on the substance

5) Higher frequency light will be
a)brighter
b)redder
c)bluer
d)faster

6)When we see a bolt of lighting, and the thunder is heard three seconds later the bolt was approximately how far away?
a)Three hundred metres
b)1km
c)We can't know without knowing the velocity of light
d) 900,000km

7) Could we make the same calculations as above, to measure the distance to lightning flashes between Jupiter and it's moons?
a)no
b)Yes
c)There are no lightning flashes on Jupiter
d)Jupiter has no moon

8) The intensity of light 2 metres from the source will be how many times stronger than the intensity at 4 metres.
a)2/4
b)4/2
c)twice
d)four times

Short answer questions

If the wavelength of a vibration is 10m in air, its frequency will be what?(The velocity of sound in air is 3.4*10^2ms^-1)

Some electromagnetic radiation has a frequency of 6.0*10^15 Hz. What will its wavelength be? I s this radiation likely to be harmful?

If the aim of the assignment is what the title suggests, you should be asking your teacher for help or discussing it in class. Because if you can't answer them then there is no use pretending you can and then forgetting about them, they will most likely come back and bite you.

Also, if the assignment is going towards your mark, asking questions like this is a form of plagiarism.
