did anyone even go last night?

i was hugely impressed.
particularly at the presence of a black sabbath cover, a bon jovi cover, amanda's AMAZING voice and brian being sexily seductive ;)

Yeah I went. Arrrghhh it was brilliant! They were amazing, support acts were good too.
I was beginning to think they weren't going to play Half Jack. Luckily they did in the encore. Highlights for me would have to be catching a flower Amanda threw into the crowd, Missed Me [how gorgeous was Brian!] and the encore. Amanda on drums was great, audience interaction was great and playing Half Jack was a brilliant way to finish.

jason webbely's (sp?) ability to get the audience involved was great.

that being said, i was glad i wasnt on the floor, sorry to offend, but i cant handle <18s. i mean seriously who the fuck moshes to moderately paced piano + drums??

apart from that, totally agreed. oh my god i wanted brian to take me away during missed me. he was hilariously gorgeous.

amanda obviously cant play the drums but she was definitely good value haha
her vocal skills live are absolutely amazing!

hahaaa, yeah I agree with the moshing thing. I was in the middle, so I avoided the moshers at the front. Plus I had perfect view which was good.
Hope they come back to Sydney soon.. I'd most definitely go and see them again.

Personally I was pretty dissapointed with the atmosphere, but maybe that's just because of the Red Paintings. Those guys need to learn that 'artistic integrity' and cheap japenese horror films will NOT hide sucky music.
I LOVED Jason Webley though. I spent all yesterday listening to bootlegs of his :D
The Bon Jovi cover rocked too

the red paintings confused me.

the movies were just i think the word im looking for is inappropriate? i dont know, it just brought this whole new meaning to the music that i didnt like

and besides they didnt play walls, which i was hugely  about.

but the dresden dolls were brilliant.
and jason webley, oh my god. i have never laughed so much at a concert in my life.

Those films... I was interested for the first song maybe... It got a tad boring after that. I was arguing with a friend that they were painting real people but he didnt believe me. There was just too much going on with The Red Paintings - too many people. 6 painters, 2 people being painted, then five band members.
They were just.. A support act.. Didnt really like them that much.
I agree with Jason though. He was a classic. That drinking song was hilarious.

It was pretty exclusive last time though. This time was my chance and i had to be doing stupid year 12. If only i'd a dropped out in year 10. I should've known this would happen...........somehow.

Also, i downloaded heaps of Amanda Palmers covers and unreleased songs and they were mostly live. War Pigs didnt really sound that good. Better at the performance?

yeah war pigs was great!
living on a prayer was just so hilariously funny though.
the entire hall singing to bon jovi.
and they stopped to analyse the lyrics and make jokes. oh and amanda played the drums!

Oh if only i was there. I've seen recordings of her playing the drums. She seemed alright, better than i thought she would. Oh well. I'll just download more of their songs and just pretend i'm there. Mars Volta are coming soon so that'll do. You going to the BDO?
