RS caters to the older people and the music snobs who are stuck in the 1970s, you can tell because every letter that gets published follows this template:

What has become of music today? I remember listening to bands like [70s bands everyone remembers, but never one of the many 70s bands that went kerplunk] and pissing my pants because music was so good back then. i mean, there are so many classics with awesome musicans
but these days i think the musicans are playing more radio freindly songs
if they are good musicans let there talents make them famous, not the radio friendly pop, because people will continue to admire those who play great music
