I have like four thematic concerns/ideas that I use for Mod C, which are pretty safe discussion points. However I wanna build up my theme bank without getting two obscure.
For those of you who have done Birthday Letters, would you say there's some sort of representation of conflicting attitudes toward the concept of death? I.e. it's a mystical, divine force in the eyes of Plath who reveres it (although this moreso comes through in her poetry), while in the eyes of Hughes it carries with it a weight of tragedy and finality.
Thinking we could have a discussion sesh cos some more insight into this issue would be nice!
