Yeah its a 'rockier' album iambored, and yeah, i don't think they want it to coincide with the tour :)

Same, again before everyone else got into them. Nobody believed me when we heard Dare You To Move on the radio, and I said it was out four years ago. Stupid, late radio.

Not really a fan of the earlier stuff recording wise, or musically, his voice was way too weak.

this album is much darker and touches on deeper issues and its somewhat pessimistic compared to The Beautiful Letdown :\ it's lacking that element of 'hope' really.. but its still good!

*please God let their tour be The Beautiful Letdown* i hope they return next year for a Nothing Is Sound tour

I am listening to samples and it seems more mainstream. Too rocky, less moving and so the songs don't stand out. Still ok, it might grow on me.

I reckon. It is not mainstream.

I like the previous albums a lot better though.

I disagree on the mainstream part, it seems bound with politics to be honest, but still rockier

its a lot more rockier than their previous albums

i love it, and like many of their songs, there is always a message within.

hm, on another note; pete murray's new album apparently is rockier than feeler

its still very christian-centric but the messages are more unambiguous in this album  its a great album, but i still think that The Beautiful Letdown is better

"Switchfoot's new album Nothing Is Sound shipped from Sony with copy protection software on the CD, much to the dismay of thousands of iPod-wielding fans. The band posted a response on their official forum apologizing for the protection and detailing ways to circumvent the protection and rip their songs to PC. Switchfoot linked to open-source program CDex's download page with instructions on disabling the autorunning protection and ripping the files to MP3. Many of Switchfoot's fans have been upset by the copy protection measures, and it's nice to know the artists seem to care about the issue."
