Hey guys,
I have received an offer to do B Economics and intend to do a double major, majoring in Economics and Accounting. For semester 1, I have enrolled into the three core courses of :
ECON1202 QMA (6 UOCs)
ECON1101 Microeconomics 1 (6 UOCs)
ACCT1501 Accounting and Finance Management 1A (6 UOCs)
Making it 18 UOC's total, however it is still 6 UOCs short to fill the requirement of 24 UOCs for first semester. I cannot seem to take any courses from ACCT and ECON as most of their courses require prerequisites. I need to get the subject combinations right as I heard what you do first semester directly affects the courses that make up your major in second year.
So my question is: How do I fill up the remaining 6 UOCs? Can I take subjects offered by other faculties, and is it recommeneded to take General Education in first year to fill the 6 UOCs?
Any help is much appreciated
Thanks
