Hello,
Can someone please explain how the atar gets calculated. If I get ranked 32 for example for a course in my school and smash the hsc let’s say get 90+. How would my marks get calculated and moderated. My school rank is 62. Please help. I don’t understand how they calculate internal assessment mark

Your internal mark will be whoever got 32nd for the external.

Your external will be the same no matter what. If you scored a 90, you keep that. Once your internal mark is calculated, your final mark will be the average of the Internal and External mark.

If the 32nd person in your cohort scored an 88 and for the external you scored a 90. Your final mark would be an 89.
