since when?!

I've been at UWS for three years and I haven't heard about this... i know we get some stuff via studentmail that give you discount offers etc but i haven't seen any "freebies"...

Anyone else know if this is true?

Yes its true. The catch is though you need to be enrolled in one CIT unit for the semester. http://www.scm.uws.edu.au/msdnaa/ . They have a heap of microsoft os's including vista, xp, 2003 :)
That's what a thought... it makes sense for those students to get discounts/freebies but no for students in general...

That said though there are some email things i've gotten before offering big discounts on Office and stuff, however they always seem to be around before the upgrade comes out - eg i got one for 2004 Office recently, probably because 2008 Office for Mac is out soon
