The other night i saw this on the news. A soccer player was shot bu a guart at point blank range with a rubber bullet. the article is as follows-

San Martin player Carlos Ezcurra was in serious condition yesterday after surgery on a damaged lung. Ezcurra was shot by police during halftime of his team's second-division match against Mendoza rival Godoy Cruz on Sunday, according to authorities. Angry fans threw rocks onto the field and later started the riot. The match was subsequently suspended with Godoy Cruz leading 3-0.
its not clear why he was shot, or what action will be taken against the guard. anyone have any suggestions?
