You're allowed to simply dislike biology.Unlike maths, where you can just gloss over the topic once and remember it, you can't do this with shitty hsc bio
do not do pip if you dont have a good teacherso I really wanted to drop sac before but now after getting prelim marks and thinking about it i might want to drop bio instead. But idk the average for sac. Cause if I'm below average for sac i def will drop. Update: average was 41/60 I got 45/60
I've been wanting to drop sac since term 1 but idk why I'm contemplating it now.
But the main point is: Bio is more work, my worst subject but is slightly more interesting.
SAC is less work, I'm doing better in but is less interesting. but idk maybe i can enjoy it more
Subject Pros Cons SAC (Society and Culture) - Got 75% in prelims even without much study. I literally bludged the whole of year 11, chatgpted all my worksheets, etc
- Easier to improve with examples and effort
- “Free marks” even without studying
- Year 12 topics seem more interesting
- PIP (major project) could be fun
- Can be enjoyable if you romanticise it and engage more- Teacher makes it boring (too many worksheets)
- Requires doing a PIP (extra workload – 2 major works total)- but I'm fine with doing that
- Depends on motivation and interest to stay engagedBiology - Slightly above average in prelims by 1.5 marks (my mark- 53%)
- Year 12 content is more interesting than Year 11
- Can improve with focused study but it will take a lot of effort and even then idk if I can do that good. like prob max 75-80%- Not that interested in the subject but it's ok
- Requires lots of memorisation and content
- Feels like more work for less reward. I really need to improve in math so trying to make a comeback in math and bio might whilst doing well in my other subjects might be too much
my teacher's not bad he's just boring tho. Like he's kinda olddo not do pip if you dont have a good teacher
it all comes down to what you enjoy more thenmy teacher's not bad he's just boring tho. Like he's kinda old
my teacher is so boring too but im so in love with sac as a subject so i kept itmy teacher's not bad he's just boring tho. Like he's kinda old
bruh just do what u think is best. at the end of the day these teachers arent the ones who have to put in the hard work or sit the hsc soguys my bio teacher is kinda mad. I talked to her and she really wants me to stay cause she thinks I can do well. she thinks I can get a band 5 with a lot of work but lowkey I feel like I can get a band 5 in sac already with my marks despite not trying at all. But lowkey if I told my sac teacher that he would say the same so there's no difference. ik dropping bio is 90% right but these teachers are trying to push me out of it
ik but she's making me doubt myselfbruh just do what u think is best. at the end of the day these teachers arent the ones who have to put in the hard work or sit the hsc so![]()
