We were given the following dot point to do over the weekend.
  • Students perform an investigation to model the behaviour of semiconductors, including the creation of a hole or positive charge on the atom that has lost the electron and the movement of electrons and holes in opposite directions when an electric field is applied across the semiconductor.

I was wondering how you's would go about showing this. We have been told that we cannot use egg cartons/ping pong balls to demonstrate this.

hmm.. i suggest using chinese checkers of some sort.

or you could poke holes in cardboard and use marbles.
