Sciences in the HSC:

Are not:
Compulsory. Only 2 units of English is compulsory.
Elitist. Anyone can do them.
Harder than other subjects. There can be some abstract concepts and a bit of theory to remember, but they're not incredibly difficult with some work.
Something you should do just for "scaling". Instead do them if you like science.

Are:
Fun :D
Great prior knowledge for a lot of uni courses. Chemistry, physics and maths will help you a lot through first year of any type of science or engineering degree.
Worth doing - you can also "drop" to Senior Science if you find it hard in year 11. The specialised courses are a lot more rewarding though.

LOL in year 10 im trying to bludge until I absolutely can not, that is, until yr 11 and 12
Year 10 is not worth it unless your not choosing those subjects to me...

I'm thinking of choosing:

3U Maths
Advanced English
Physics
Economics
Business Studies

Thats it. So is it a good choice? These are only all the subjects I'm good at...
The rest is
STUFFED....

I'm not sure about taking physics although I am good at it, I wanted to know whether it is related to the other sciences such as Chemistry and Biology. And that would other students taking those subjects have some sort of advantage.

And is Business Studies any good and easier?
Because im trying to keep one subject light. Is it good to keep one lighter subject?

Science is not actually a subject in year 11 and 12.

There is, however, a course called Senior Science. It's similar to what you've done in year 7 through to 10, except with different topics.

There are also branches of science, which are:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Earth and Environmental Science

um also if you go to a catholic school, they may make you do studies of religion 1 however you can choose to do studies of religion 2 if you want.

What school do you go to?
