Say i do i Bachelor of science or advanced science
and i major in physics or chem

what sort of careers are available?

not including it or anything to do with computers

Is this a joke, why would u post such a thing here, go to the science/engineering thread.
But i reckon employment is not very good for physics/chem as i know a person who did there masters in physics and it still took him 2 yrs to get a job.

EDIT: its not "it" its I.T, make it obvious

Chem is highly employable (agriculture, water treatment, cosmetics, food, etc).

Phyics is less directly employable, but highly employable if you're willing to take a job in IT, Maths, or Finance rather than strictly physics stuff.

IT and Computer Science are the most employable of the lot, though, and pay the most.

This is quoted from uow's definition of a computer scientist:

"Computer scientists design and write programs for computer applications. These applications include computer systems to control machinery, the analysis of stock market trends, games design, visualisation of chemical reactions, neural network design, computational geometry for robot navigation, automatic teller machines and patient monitoring in hospitals."
