Over this whole year my none of my subject reports and only one of my assessments have been returned with a ranking. Two teachers told their classes in person around half yearlies. I know that rankings 'don't count' in Y11, but it would be nice to be told where I'm at in my courses. I always thought that in senior years we would get told on our report card or something.

How do other schools let you know??
Is it possible that its a school policy for it to stay confidential in Y11?? Would it be ok if I just asked teachers directly??

Thanks :)

They should have that information if they were actually recording everything properly. You should definitely request to see your ranks as it definitely does tell you how your performing against your year which you'll eventually be competing against in your HSC.

My school did tell everyone their ranks but it honestly depends whether you pressure them to give it to you in situations like this. There is no reason for them to keep it confidential.
