i reckon these are the hardest type of skills, get me every time

so someone explain...

is it the greater the area shown, the greater the scale, or is it the larger the scale number (eg1:15000) as a fraction, the larger, or is it the large representation of somehintg mean its got a big scale....or whatever...im confused...

the way i remember it is...big number = small area (eg. 1:250 000), small number = big area (eg. 1:250)
good luck

Big scale = big on detail (ie roads, bridges, trees etc.) little scale = little detail (you might see the whole of Australia, but does it have much detail? No.)

i think of it as a fraction, like 1:10 = 1/10 is bigger than 1:100 = 1/100
if somethings bigger u can see more detail on it
