I got my results and it turns out I failed mm2, i wasn't brilliant at the subject but I was sure that i did well enough throughout the subject and I'm certain that my knowledge of the subject is more than adequate to complete the rest of my subjects. How can I request for an appeal or special consideration?

You can try and contact student services and see what they can do or you can ask to get your exam reviewed.

But really there's not much you can do. It also depends on how much you failed by as well. Good luck though!
