*Ultrasound used to measure bone density?
*Particle accelerator synchrotron? Huh?
*datalogger graph is wacko
*essay question on Medical Physics!!!

The excel book actually says that ultrasound isn't used to measure bone density, so i had nfi on that one, had to make up bullshit (should get 2 though).

Well its on the syllabus. The right hand column.

I said some bs about refelction of these waves and you can use mathematical questions to calculate tit :D

I just talked about the fact that acoustic impedence is found by velocity x density, therefore any change in density would come up as a different reflection to a known quantity.

They use two factors in bone mass densitometry - velocity of sound through the bone, and attentuation of the sound wave by the bone.

More dense bone = faster speed of sound and more attenuation

Healthy bone denser than osteoporotic bone.

Therefore blah blah blah
