Raw marks and Sam (1 Viewer)

using the thread that gives raw marks for 2004 as a guide i got a good idea what raw marks you need to get in too a particular band like 75 in english as raw is equal to a band 5, is that thread accurate.

also i just put in my brothers hsc mark as aligned mark in sam and it gave him the same uai +-0.10

so basically what im trying to say is that if i get similar marks in the hsc to my trials will sam be accurate because im using the aligned marks of 2004 in sam

i hope that made sense

any help would be great

I don't quite follow...

But if you think your trial marks are going to be similar to your HSC marks then they will be relevant to SAM.

However, there is no direct relationship between your school trial marks and your HSC marks.

what im trying so say is that i got 85 for english in my trial and according to last years raw marks that translates to a band 6 something like 91. so i put 91 in sam rather than 85 because thats what it would most likely align to.

is that correct?

also out of experience what usually happens to marks 85ish in business, pdhpe and legal do they go up or down in aligned marks

Pretty much everything over 80 gets scaled up
