raw mark --> aligned (1 Viewer)

does anyone know what kind of raw mark is needed to achieve a band 5?

70+ raw for band 5?

btw, if you have a look here: http://www.uac.edu.au/pubs/pdf/2007_table_A3.pdf

english standard ISN'T CAPPED at 94.4 scaled marks (for top HSC mark of 94) but this just happens to be the highest mark in the course in that year. This can be easily identified if you compare it to English Advanced where 95 scales to 94.4. This is how I view it anyway. I might be wrong however as usually the person who tops any subject gets 100 scaled marks..... so as that person with 94 did not get it scaled to 100 might mean it is indeed capped. lol

can you please explain what you just said and also explain what the table is showing and what it means?

I dont quite understand :S

if you look at the scaled mean (released by the uac) standard was at 17-20 ish. (can't remember)

which is not very high compared to even low scaling subjects like ancient
