Is the SC for hist and geo only this years topic. It better be.

I'm having a bit of trouble with the geo topic, Australia in its regional and global context. What should I do?

The SC will only cover Geo and History in:

Geo:

Issues in Australian Environments - Coastal Management, Urban Growth and Decline and Spatial Inequality
Australia in its Regional and Global Contexts - Defence, Migration, Trade, Australia's Population and Human Rights and Reconciliation
Geographical Tools and Skills

Hist (+ key themes):

Australia in the Vietnam War Era

How did the Australian government respond to the threat of communism after World War 2?
Why did Australia become involved in the Vietnam War?
How did various groups respond to Australia's involvement in the Vietnam War?
What was the impact of the war on Australia and/or neighbouring countries?

Changing Rights and Freedoms

Aboriginal Peoples - How have the rights and freedoms of Aboriginal peoples in Australia changed during the post-war period?
Migrants [OR] Women - " Immigrants or " Women

People, Power and Politics in the Post-War period

What role has Australia played in international affairs in the post-war period?
What have been some of the important political developments in post-war Australian history?
How have significant individuals and groups exercised their democratic rights in the post-war period?

Australia's Social and Cultural history in the Post-War period

What have been the major social and cultural features of any of the six post-war decades? (50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's)

In short, year 10 work only, but I prefer the extended method of explanation because it gives me a way to say that I've revised the specific topic.

All of this information is in Macquarie Revision Guides and their books are an excellent method of revision.

So this is it, everything listed here is all I need to cover while studying?

This makes it a bit easier.

Doesn't need to be poetic techniques.

First section: MC questions and comprehension
Second: Deconstructing a tex- could be language, poetic or visual techniques.
Third: Extended response/Creative writing.

Hopefully second is visual. Anyone got any ideas about what text types the long responses will be?

I'm thinking an editorial where you give your opinion on a current issue.
