Questions about Medical Science. (1 Viewer)

I haven't really ever considered studying Medical Science until a few weeks ago. I don't want to make a rash decision and place it as my top few preferences without knowing what I am getting myself into.

I know people study it as a pathway to med, but I can't see myself doing that (it would be great though). But what are the potential job opportunities for graduates? Because you don't really have a profession like say, if you studied teaching, you become a teacher and if you do podiatry, you become a podiatrist ... but medical science?

I think mainly research (finding the cure for cancer! lol)

Lab work (hospitals, private companies etc.), PHD (lecturer). Overall pretty poor job prospects unless you have contacts.
