Just wondering if it was possible to do units of my course at a different (closer) campus (still UWS obviously)?

In my course, my first unit description mentions two campuses, does this mean I can perform this unit at either campus.

No You will have to get special permission to attend tutorials at the different campus. If they don't do a roll call at the lecture you probably could attend the lecture at the alternative campus.
