How does a satellite send and receive information ? ( referring to how EM waves are reflected parallel but when happens after?)

A satellite is a an example of an concave reflecting surface, therefore when incoming parallel signals come from the distant they reflect to a focus point known as the aerial. In the aerial the information is processed or sent again somewhere.
