ppl who have done accg253 and 200.. plz help (1 Viewer)

ok so atm, im doing accg253, 310, 200, and busl301 ... and its soooo much work so far and everyones telling me how hard the accg units are ...and im gonna fall behind... and yehh... now i wanna drop one and leave it for next sem.
i wanna leave 200 or 253 for 2nd sem.. but i dunno which one
which do you reckon is harder and more work and stuff
i reckon 200 cuz i just bought the new textbook for 253 (and it was bloody $1hundredsomethingish) but my friends say 253 is harder in 1st sem...

so yeh..
any advice from ppl who have done both accg200 and 253 would be greatly appreciated =D

I heard, it's better if u put 200 first sem and 253 2nd sem...And that's wat i did.

I did 200 in first semester last year and 253 in the second. This semester I'm doing 310.

To tell you the truth I wouldn't even contemplate doing all three at the same time. Having said that, I'd probably push 253 to next semester as the topics are so broad it becomes difficult to know everything. Couple that with 310 and 200 and I dread to think what the outcome would be at exam time. Also, 200 is easy if you do all the revision questions when it comes to the exam preparation, whereas 253 is a little more unpredictable.

Yeah, like the poster above, I would (and have) separate them. ACCG253 in semester 1 is with the actuaries.

I have heard that most of the actuarials do ACCG253 in the first semester, and that is why its harder. Ive dropped ACCC253 too and taken up an elective instead. I don think the book will change. ACCG200 is not that hard, just keep up to date with the work.
