Hey guys i am a bit confused with postgrad med if someone could explain. so i know that you have to sit the GAMSAT and then an interview but how many people do they except a year into med school? also i want to do a bachelor of medical science i was wondering once you have done this degree for three years how long does the actual med degree go for? and if you want to specialise?

Also my friend was telling me that you are able to do any science degree and if you do really well, like acheive above a credit average you can sit the UMAT and transfer into medicine after one year, or during your course is this true?

THANKS GUYS APPRECIATE YOUR REPLIES :)

I think all of your answers can be answered here on the postgrad med forum: www.pagingdr.proboards.com

It's not a real transfer, you are just sitting umat again (the score can be used for two years if its good) and getting a GPA which can be used instead of an ATAR/UAI. You still have to apply, sit the interview, etc. Some uni's have schemes such as at UNSW with doing Med Sci and Hons and being in the top 5 or so and then getting into med with credit, etc.
