Ba(OH)2 + HNO3 -> sumthing sumthing...ill have a go.....Ba(NO3)2 + H20

thats totally wrong....but i know its a neutralisation reaction....gives salt and water?

Ba has a charge of 2+, while NO3 has a charge of -1 doesnt it? i dont think BaNO3 works out.

so it should be Ba(OH)<sub>2</sub> + 2HNO<sub>3</sub> = 2H<sub>2</sub>O + Ba(NO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>2</sub>

Yep, I agree with angmor's equation, looks right and everything balances out.
