Cause waves get faster in deep water but the frequencies are the same i think.
So using the formula v=wavelength x Frequency, an increase in speed means and increase in frquency and wavelength but in this case the frequency is the same so wavelength must've increased.

i'm may be wrong lol i did my waves topic test liek 3 weeks ago and havent looked at waves ever since.;)
