ME TOO OMG. At first i thought they were overreacting but now they've mentioned it i've actually noticed how annoying the syllabus actually is 😭
not even the syllabus i swear trial papers are a bit more normal ish but the hsc papers are at least half yapping instead of physics-ing

yeah i always agreed with him on the sciences, maybe not to the same extent, but didnt voice it cause of the other crazy takes, but now i see no excuse anymore

It's not just me, it's a common sentiment. People just don't bother making a long essay about it cause they go in to university a few months later. But me, since I did physics as an accel subject, I've had the time to familiarize my self with the HSC and other exam formats, where I've come to realize HSC favors societal impacts rather than technical questions way too greatly, especially for a subject like Physics.

2023
personally hoping for a HSC like last year except with harder calculations, I just want as few history/experiment questions as possible
the writing in physics sux, only bc their marking criteria always be having THE MOST SPECIFIC thing on earth and otherwise its wrong...

if the whole paper is calculations then it would be great as well as a couple of emf explain questions bc they have to, but there aint no way that thats happening and we probably gonna get mod 7/8 long response
pls just no long response on history stuff I’ll actually cry😿
I hate history I didn’t pick it for a reason WHY is it appearing in physics:newburn:
2021
imagine nesa pulls a 180 and makes the entire exam maths questions with none based on history and experiments. i would kiss everyone in the room, including the supervisors.

sadly we dont live in an ideal world

There will be countless more similar quotes from 2019 (where the new physics exams were thought to be like VCE)

Although 2023 is the best HSC Physics paper, it still doesn't compare to VCE physics papers every year

Should we remember the dates experiments were conducted or year? Or is it really not needed.

I don't know how to explain it but does anyone else feel like some explanations in the syllabus are too surface level to even make sense? I find myself looking at uni videos on a topic which goes into much more detail - detail that would never be asked in the HSC - but it actually helps me understand what's going on at a better level
This was me for and physics and maths lol, I definitely encourage as many people to do this because going beyond the syllabus helped inform syllabus responses more easily
