In tube 1 the chloroplast solution was heated= photosynthesis increased then eventually decreased
In tube 2 a herbicide was added=
photosynthesis decreased
In tube 3 the chloroplast was exposed to green light= photosynthesis decreased
In tube 4 the chloroplast was exposed to red light= photosynthesis increased

Can someone explain to me what happen in each tube?
I have a general idea but i want to make sure.

Thanks

One key component needed for photosynthesis is the rubisco enzyme.

tube 1. the initial temperature rise increased the thermal agitation of co2 (substrate) and the enzyme allowing higher rate of catalytic reactions (co2 fixation of some sugar, i forgot which)
but eventually the temperature denatures the enzyme, rate decreases blah blah etc

tube 2. herbicide alter ph

tube 3. notice that plants are green because they reflect green light (little physics:they absorb light photons to allow electrons to move up quantum states, which disturbs valency electrons of another atom and this continues until pigments get ionised!)

so plants dont actually like green light, and they absorb all other visible light ie red blue yellow etc
so if you feed a plant with green light only, the plant actually doesnt get any light energy to work with.

you can figure out tube5 now!
