I have elected to do 3 performances, plus the compulsory performance, adding up to 4. I play guitar and sing.
My songs so far are:
-Layla (unplugged version) - Eric Clapton for Jazz/Blues (Using Semi acoustic, singing)
-The Chicken - Jacko Pastorious for Small Ensemble (Semi acoustic, instrunmental)
-Strange Kind of Woman - Deep Purple for Rock. (Electric, singing)
For the elective, I am battling it out between Smooth Operator by Sade and Don't Dream it's over by cROWDED hOUSE. I can sing both and play both well enough to go either way. My question is, which would be better suited to have a stronger variey in my "program", so to speak?
Smooth Operator uses the same chords/key signature (D minor) as the Eric Clapton song...Would this possibly affect my marks if I choose to go with that song?
(I'm male, tenor style voice)
