I was downloading some video converters today when I picked up what i think is a virus

basically at random intervals, usually every few minutes and when i start up IE, a page pops up, www.pancolp.something...... and then it directs me to these random websites about crap

so how do i get rid of this?

i tried scanning with spyware terminator and AVG but its still occuring, so they missed it. what else to do?

google.

serious answer: i use adaware...also Ccleaner helps with getting rid of temporary files and stuff.

google it, theres no doubt a little program you can download that fixes it. every virus has an anti-virus.

....hangon.... IE? WTF&*(!@&!&()! theres your problem. Download a real browser like firefox or chrome that have built in stuff to protect you from this shit. There is no reason for anyone to be using IE if you have the choice to switch [like if its your pc] then do so immediately.
