Really stuck here guys, need some help,
need to know about materials, miniaturisation, computer and batteries,

Uhh, just off the top of my head -
Pacemakers actually started to use lithium Iodine batteries - starting from 1970s - These lithium iodine batteries were able to provide a sustainable, reliable and were of high power. These properties were ideal for the pacemaker.
As well as that - In the same time period *1970s - They started to case the pacemakers in titanium to allow for an increased bio-compatibility, strength and durability within the body.
Adding on, pacemakers with bio-polymers were introduced in the 1960's - also allowing for an increased bio-compatibility.
