Hello BoredofStudies (long time no see),
I am applying for a scholarship and need to find proof to show I've achieved at least a Band 4 in Maths.
I cannot find anything which has each subject, marks or bands I achieved in my HSC. I've tried combing through my emails, logging into UAC (I don't think it's possible), SSD and even trying to find cached files of Students Online on my computer and cannot find a thing! I even tried checking my physical files and could only find a certificate for my HSC but no mark sheet.
I found my CredFolio and it only shows the subjects I studied, units accounted for and ATAR. (Absolutely no marks or bands!)
However, for my course (Teaching degree), applicants do need at least a band 4 in English and Maths to be accepted in the course. Otherwise, they make you study a subject to prove your competence (in English or Maths) on top of doing LANTITE; which I am yet to receive my marks for in Maths.
Does this mean my university would have a copy of my HSC marks?
Alternatively, I might also attempt contacting my high school to see if they have retained anything since I have heard that they do keep names, ATARs and records of student marks in each subject.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT 3/9/25: I contacted both my school and university and they both told me they do not keep records of student's individual marks.
My university transferred me over to UAC where I got in touch with one of their agents who told me that they do not keep records of marks, only student ATARs.
However, an interesting tidbit about my high school is that they had data for Maths Standard 1* a couple of years ago because I had asked my sister to ask my Maths teacher if I ended up getting the highest mark in the grade for the HSC and he told her that there was one or two? girls higher than me.
*It is a Category B subject, so the only mark which is counted is your HSC exam, not your internals/trials.
TL;DR
Future students, be careful once you receive your ATAR+Marks and make sure you archive any copies you receive from NESA/UAC.
Otherwise, you will have to pay a lot of money if you're not careful.
