is it better to read over someones notes that got a band 6 OR do your own legit ones that you understand that usually get you a band 4? OR you can do both

You should write your own, because writing notes helps you absorbe information far better then merely reading them. However, another persons notes can also be very useful, especially when writing your own notes because they can show you what information is important, where to focus your detail etc.

You have to go through an active though process when writing your own notes and it's a great way to identify what your weaknesses may be as you systematically go through the entire course. Using someone else's notes is all good and well, but if you don't understand some of the content properly, then in reality it isn't of much use to you.
