Not seeing your loved one on Valentines day (1 Viewer)

I thought that Valentines day was a special day where you took some special time out of your day to tell or show the person that you love, that you love them.

Im not seeing my boy on V-Day because he works 10-4 and he has other commitments 5-9.

We are planning to do something on Sunday instead but it isnt really the point i dont think.

Is anyone else not seeing their loved one on VDAY?

i dont see why valentines day should be the one day on which you should tell people you love them. why cant you do that any other day?...or have a special evening/day together some other day? whats so damned special about february 14th???

chances are i will see her on monday, but i havent planned anything yet :sheepish grin:

What is the big deal about valentines day? All it is, is an overcommericalised hallmark day? Why do you need a commercialised day which is all over the world, to celebrate love. You should celebrate love with your loved one whatever day or days you and your loved one feel special towards.

yeah but its nice. i mean i know my boyfriend loves me and we tell each other all the time, but its nice to have a surprise dinner, etc. that doesnt happen every dya, maybe once a week, once a month, once every 3 months it happens, but its nice to have an excuse for it...
my boyfriend will be coming home from victoria and swore he would see me on monday night, but i really doubt he will

my guy & i broke up wed night.....perfect timing....
meh...it was a rebound anyway, wasnt any chemistry there....but still mates
we'll only be about a 5 min drive apart on v day (if he's still down here...which's pretty likely, but it'd only be an hr otherwise)

only ever once (last year) had a bf for v day...and the night before, i cheated on him (pashed some guy) lol..yeah im a really great gf arent i! meh...we didnt really work anyway - he was a horny bastard (& younger..but that's another story) & i got bored after about 4-6 months of being with him (yet we ended up lasting for 8 mths, most of it bored and/or fighting)
