me and a few friends were thinking of going into the city to see the fireworks or maybe a hotel/cruise with a fireworks view...but we probably left it to late, so most likely a party at a friends house.

Probably the usual. Nothing exciting. Go to Manly, take the Manly ferry out into Sydney Harbour with a perfect view of the Harbour Bridge and watch the 9pm and midnight fireworks.

Can't believe the fireworks and decorations are already starting to go up on the harbour bridge.
