Need help, suggest courses please! (computer) (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

I didn't do well for my ATAR, got 88 so my #1 choice of UNSW Computer Engineering is unreachable for the 1st year. I'm looking to do computer related courses in Uni (not media/graphics/design) whether it be Engineering, Computer Science or IT. Right now I'm thinking about headed to Macquarie University for Computer Engineering and hopefully transfer to UNSW the next year or so. I would like to know whats the difference in these courses and I would also like to hear your suggestions on what you would do (courses) in my shoes for the 1st year of Uni.

Are you eligible for HSC Plus (i.e. bonus points)?: http://www.unsw.edu.au/domestic-undergraduate/hsc-plus There are points for Band 5/6 in Mathematics/Extension 1/Extension 2 and Physics.

If not, you should still put UNSW as your first preference. For the 2012 offers, there were still vacancies after the Main Round of offers.
