A car moving at 30km/hr is stopped by jamming on the brakes. The car skids for 40m before coming to rest.
How far would the car skid if it was initially moving at 60km/hr ????

the question is a bit unclear/ambiguous.

is the car accclerating in this time frame and i dont think that there is enough info to calculate the time frame. I have done a question similar to this one and i remember using the formula v^2 = u^2 + 2a(x-x0)
