i do english extension 2 and my teacher always stresses how uncliche he wants us to be and how we should come up with something super original. so i get all into that thought process then walk in to art where my teacher goes "do whatever".

then i came up with a satirical idea that i think is really relevent : using photography and photoshop to satarise the whole idea of "emo" , or do the concept of identity in my own way.

yet she wants me to do the old boring 'wat do i do for my BOW' kinda thing.

what do you guys think?

By the way I thought in english, cliche is a noun and cliche/cliched as an adjective is not used to describe the person and um is uncliche a newly coined word?

art teachers are funny...they want you to do what they want. But the emo thing has been done unless you're going to revolutionize it heaps....:S I'd say stick with what you want to do and def dont do the bow, on no what do i do thing cause did you see the one in artxpress? it was really good but its been done too - they might just thing you saw it and went oh yeah i could do that....:S

ROFL!!! if you do the whole concept of "emo" the markers will look down on you-giving you crappy marks. Markers do not like any ideas of gothic, gangs, gangsters with guns, emos etc. these are cliche concepts and should be avoided. Come up with something nobody has ever done before
