I think this was a very tricky question. Polyethylene can be made from plant material as well!13 i got d, because i think it said 'made from plants' so it has to be cellulose right?
yeah, you might be rightI think this was a very tricky question. Polyethylene can be made from plant material as well!
I picked a because you can't actually make cups from cellulose. But i might just be over thinking this.
I'd still stick to a as an answer tho.
do you mean a? I put bWhat about paper cup? ain't paper made out of cellulose? Also, for question 17, did anyone put down 1?
so many people put 17 as A.What about paper cup? ain't paper made out of cellulose? Also, for question 17, did anyone put down 1?
Yea i was confused at first and put A but then realised it was just a neutralization reaction with equal ratios and allso many people put 17 as A.
But the thing is this is not a disassociation. It's just a neutralization reaction to produce salt.
I put down as B. Still believe it's B, but who knows
I was tossing up between the two, as wellI think this was a very tricky question. Polyethylene can be made from plant material as well!

monoprotic acid with monoprotic basewe're reacting a diprotic acid with a strong base right? i don't see why it's equal ratio : S, please help
lol... i put D, but now I read the question again it's A... =3= fmlI was tossing up between the two, as well
But the question said "used in the manufacture" not "used as a material for the cup"
therefore, cellulose is ALWAYS USED IN THE MANUFACTURE because you obtain the polyethylene FROM cellulose.
What if you get polyethylene from sugars (crushed sugar cane) not celluloseI was tossing up between the two, as well

Acetic is CH3COOH. Monoprotic, unless i chucked a potato somewherewe're reacting a diprotic acid with a strong base right? i don't see why it's equal ratio : S, please help
Bro.. It's the BOS. We don't know what they're thinking =3=Well according to Wikipedia,
"paper cups are made from renewable resources (wood chips 95% by weight)"
Wood chips contain cellulose
Therefore, is not paper cups made from cellulose then? (i.e. D)
