Motor Effect & Force between current carrying conductors (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys, When parallel currents are in the same direction, there is an attraction between them and when they are in different directions, they repel. I understand the fact that this is a follow on of the motor effect, since the force is towards the area where the field is weakened. But i don't understand why that happens. Why does the force go towards the area of the weakened field area?, thanks

By Lenz's Law it will try to oppose the change caused by the presence of the magnetic field associated with the other current carrying wire. Hence it will try to make the weaker part of the field stronger by adding to it, creating the force. Pretty sure that'd how it goes.
