In the syllabus it says: "Students are also required to supplement this study with texts of their own choosing which provide a variety of representations of that event, personality or situation. These texts are to be drawn from a variety of sources, in a range of genres and media."

I'm interpreting this in two different ways:
1) This refers to our other related texts, which are not related to our prescribed text but contain similar issues of conflicting perspectives (e.g. Prescribed Text = Julius Caesar, ORTs = Death Note & The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas)

2) This refers to our prescribed text and studying it in different forms (e.g. Prescribed Text = Julius Caesar, so while we study the play and a particular event/personality/situation, students can then pick & choose other forms of Julius Caesar such as a film or television series to study too and discuss how these forms change the meaning/interpretation of the text, etc.). We would do this in an essay as well as incorporate our two ORTs.

Does that make sense? I really need some clarity! Thanks!
