A friend is coming from overseas to tour Australia for three weeks. They would really like to have a mobile fone to make contact with hotels and whatnot ... whats the best option? Is there some sort of pre-apid mobile you can rent out or something?

Cheers,
Ac

He said that roaming will not work~

The airport? Sounds logical ... any specific details? i.e. where from and how much (and would it be cheaper from somewhere in the city, because the airport usually doubles the price of everything).

Cheers,

Roaming will be stupidly expensive.

If they have a mobile phone (thats tri or quad band) just get them to buy a pre-paid sim kit.
Won't cost that much and will come with credit.

Otherwise just buy a $50 phone from Optus/Telstra store.
