Today I logged on to register for my Introductory Economics unit.

The time for my tutorial that i wanted was from 3-4pm on Tuesday. I got onto the page, selected 3-4 Tuesday, waited, but then it said "Unfortunately this time has been filled up. Please select an alternative unit." So then I selected 4-5pm Tuesday and it went through.

But i want the 3-4pm one instead. Is there any way where I can still get my preferred time for this tutorial?

PS - For the lectures on this unit (IE), it says not enabled. What does that mean?

The not enabled means that you don't have to register for the lecture.

Keep checking the tutorial times, cause people may switch their preferred times, cause you can change up to 5 times. If you can't get anything before uni starts, I'm sure you can just rock up to the tutorial that you wanted, and they generally will put you down on the list.

Don't worry Ray I feel your pain, my timetable is all over the place. On Friday I just go in for 2 hours in the afternoonand on Monday I have 3 hours between my Lecture and Tutorial.

We were only suspose to fill out our first semester Tut times, weren't we? :p

Thanks.

But are you sure you can do that? Do you know if it has happened before?

its a risk to do that... and generally in first year subjects, a lot of new uni kids feel they HAVE to go to the tutes they registered for. Hence they would be full. But , u can try :)

Yes, I have known people to show up for pracs and tuts cause they wanted to go to that one cause they had friends in it. So don't worry too much about it.

The tutor was happy to add them into the tutorial. People are always switching tutorials during the first week usually though.

Umm.. what if there is a collision of classes and there is no other way because all the other tutorial classes are filled? I have a workshop on at the same time as one of my tutorials and I can't switch to another tutorial class, is there is someone I can contact to sought this out?
