Anyone know what min wage for full time 18 yr old is?.

doing general office duties. Was at interview today and lady told me $7 an hour and i almost fell out of my chair. Most office junior jobs ive looked at are around 20,000 PA mark, this one was 13k

i have not been to the website but from memory (and this is often faulty), the min wage for an 18+ year old is meant to be something like eleven dollars ... obviously if your a trainee then its a different story ... but seven dollars is seriously chicken's feed ...

thats a casual rate tho, and it works out to be around the $13 mark when you include loading.

Its 13k before tax.

im working there now and will see how it goes, I have nothing better to do so its better then sitting at home )

When I asked why it was so low all i was told was it was above the min wage for clerical duties.....but ive never seen a office junior job going for less then 18,000.
