Ok, I've finalised my timetable to date. Would any of the other med people like to post theirs?

(Yes I am procrastinating. If you know where it is, see my blog for the updated list of things-I-need-to-do-before-Sunday-night).

Yeah mine does too. 27 is the maximum weekly load, but it's variable (the stuff in square brackets is date/week codes).

Hey, this is something I don't get, what is the stuff you do up at JHH? Like, I think you have it down as "medical interviewing"?

Basically meeting with patients and learning to take their history. Like when you see a doctor, they ask what the problem is and you say "well this feels wrong" or whatever. Then they get you to talk about it, and ask questions. After they've got enough information from you and examined you they make a diagnosis (or have some tests done to confirm a suspected diagnosis). That's medical interviewing.

Our timetables (at least in the new course) are different every week, about the only constant thing is when we have clinical (2 hours a fortnight). Average contact hours a week is probably 18-19 i'd say, it's not too bad really, except we have lots of large breaks (3+ hours).

Heh I don't have a problem with college life, but that's because I live in the spacious wing (med has its benefits).

My insomnia problem is more related to the air conditioned computer room camping.

Hm, im technically a med student :p so im going to post mine up. Like most of you guys, mine changes everyweek, though the slots have been allocated, the subjects maybe alternated. Next semester gets worse as well. Similarly to Alvin, i'll get one full day of clinicals/animal handling a week. Im scheduled in for 28 hours pw.

I'll pay Kim's claim to "med" studentness. She makes up for no communication skills by learning the anatomy and physiology of everything that's not human besides dirt.

Respect.

Ok so can I be a dentistry student then? These days, I'm learning head and neck anatomy so surely that qualifies me to be a dental student!
