Is it possible to have a major in Actuarial Studies AND both Mathematics and Statistics? In a B Comm/B Sci.

From what I've worked out, I need to complete the following courses for Commerce to complete a major in Actuarial Studies, AND gain exemptions from both Parts I and II:

ACCT1501, ACCT1511, ECON1101, ECON1102, ECON2102
ACTL1001, ACTL2001, ACTL2002, ACTL2003, ACTL3001, ACTL3002, ACTL3003, ACTL3004, ACTL4001, ACTL4002
ACCT2542, FINS1613

Making up a total of 102UOC. Unless I'm missing something? :S I think thats all... hmm. Meanwhile, the UNSW site states that the following is required for a double major in Maths & Stats:

UNSW[/URL]]
Double Major in Mathematics and Statistics (MATHM13970 + MATHT13970)
Stage 1
MATH1131 or MATH1141 Mathematics 1A ---> I'll have MATH1151 and MATH1251 though
MATH1231 or MATH1241 Mathematics 1B
MATH1081 Discrete Mathematics (Highly Recommended)

Stage 2
MATH2060 Professional and Ethical Issues in Mathematics +
MATH2011 or MATH2111 Several Variable Calculus
MATH2120 or MATH2130 Mathematical Methods for Differential Equations
MATH2501 or MATH2601 Linear Algebra
MATH2520 or MATH2620 Complex Analysis
MATH2801 or MATH2901 Theory of Statistics
MATH2831 or MATH2931 Linear Models

Stage 3
MATH3801 or MATH3901 Probability and Stochastic Processes
MATH3811 or MATH3911 Statistical Inference
MATH3821 Statistical Modelling and Computing
Choose 18 units of credit from level III Mathematics

+ MATH2060 may be omitted if the professional education requirement has been met in the other degree when a double major is part of a combined degree.
Provided that MATH2060 is omitted (and even if it isn't it's still okay), that makes up 84UOC.. making up 186UOC in total.

... am I kind of right? or have I gotten myself lost somewhere along the way? I've been told that I CAN major in both maths and stats, though I'm still kind of confused how it all works.

Anyone willing to help me out? :D

i dont think you are allowed 3 majors in com/sci.
you might be able to fit them in, but you dont get them recognized.

No, sorry even if it fits you will only get two majors, one from each faculty.

My advice, don't put too many eggs in one basket, take things as they come, finish first year then plan about the future because 50% of all university students graduate with a different degree/plan to what they originally started with.

yes, it's possible. the rules for a stats major are usually relaxed. please email dennis trenerry for further details; he has arranged for commerce/science students to double major in BSc.

Even if this is allowed it will be tight scheduling... and it doesn't mean much to potential employers, since mathematicians, statisticians and actuaries sound about the same.

From another perspective, there will be alot of overlap going on between the courses. So what's taught is not really as diverse as 3 majors would imply, nor will you get a deeper understanding of any of the three(unless you do additional reading on your own).
