what do you mean interview??? like with your teacher?????

i had those... you just have to tell them where you're up to.. what you're thinking about doing next etc etc

any thoughts you've had about changes you might need to make etc

they want you to start thinking about your artistic processes

Make a list of questions they might ask and then develop some answers eg

What are you working on
What materials are you using
Why
What artists did you look at
How did the influence you
What is the dominant frame in your work
tell me how you know
Where is the work going
Have you got a timeline to track the development and completion
Show it to me
Have you done an estimate of how much it is going to cost
Show it to me
Have you got a list of art suppliers you are going to use
Show it to me
What changes are you going to make
Why
What have you learnt doin this so far

I have the interview too~ and I'm pretty sure it will be easy as long as you have a strong concept behind your work... if it's something that you are passionate about then you'll be fine, cos then you have reason for what you are talking about. Art can be interpreted in a million and one ways, so if you see it one way then justfify why and how, and what you plan to do....you'll be fine.. good luck!

I know its an awful thing to do...but basically, we have to do the same thing in Ext. 2 with our major...you've basically gotta sell your work to them. Go on and on about how good you are with these concepts and this and that. Even ifyou end up sounding like an art snob or whatever, its what they want. I hate it, but, it what they look for. They want to know that what they see in your artwork (the colours signify bla bla...) is what you're trying to say. They won't be happy if you just chose the whole blue thing cos its your favourite colour (even if that's true, make some big story up and its significance..!!)

I had mine just yesterday; as an assessable-
We were meant to have 2 finished works;
And i had 2 ALMOST finished ones-
And i got 82%! Wonderously happy...

I dont think you should put too much thought into the interview-
I mean, you should already know what issues and concepts you're dealing with.
How in depth are everyones VAPDS?
Mine just seems lame...
